A Worthwhile Investment

The Residence brand is a luxury window and door system that has been designed to replicate a 19th Century Flush Sash Window, whilst having all the modern benefits of high performance and low maintenance. Residence windows and doors are the most authentic timber looking windows and doors on the market, and no other systems come close to bringing you this standard.

With over 40 colour options to choose from, go ahead and make your home a Residence 9 home. Residence 9 has no problem standing out from the crowd with its beautiful detailing and large choice of wood-grain effects. The traditional method of mechanical joining is used throughout the windows & doors and looks just like the original timber design.

Residence 9 is the perfect solution for updating your old timber windows and has been widely accepted in conservation areas because of the authentic appearance and uncompromising approach to the original looking aesthetics. This is a testimony to how this design specialises in capturing the true essence of the traditional wooden design, complementing even the oldest of properties.

Residence Collection Features

Thermally Efficient

The Residence Collection is able to achieve A++ standards of thermal efficiency, which ensures the warmth from your central heating stays in your home for a longer period of time. This means that your home will not only get warmer, it will stay warmer. With a Residence window or door installed in your home, you could find yourself saving money on your heating bills across the year!

Low Maintenance

Although these windows and doors loyally echo the look of timber, they do not offer any of the maintenance chores that come with the material. This means that you won’t have to worry about any warping, cracking, bowing, or twisting out of shape. Further to this, all you’ll have to do is give them a quick wipe down with a damp cloth to keep them looking their best.

High Security

With your security in mind, Residence windows and doors are fitted with a glass bonded design. This means that the glazing is attached to the inner sash to ensure a higher degree of structural integrity. Further to this, they are also fitted with high security locking systems to keep security consistent across the whole frame, keeping would-be intruders at bay to help you relax.

Beautiful Windows and Doors

This modern day classic is in high demand with homeowners who are sympathetic to a properties original design and heritage. This means that you’ll be able to bring a complementary feature to a traditional home, or a classic feel to a new build. Whichever one you choose, you’ll be able to enjoy the innovations that make these windows suited for today’s standards.

Unlike many modern windows systems that are manufactured using CNC machinery and hardly touched by human intervention, the Residence 9 is hand built using more traditional methods with a highly skilled workforce that treat every window and door with the same care and attention they deserve. This means that you’ll never have to worry about an inferior product reaching your property.

The range comes complete with many optional features to further enhance and personalise the design of your windows and doors which includes corner-posts, weatherbar and mullion stiffeners, couplers, furniture options, authentic Georgian bars, and external cills. It’s never been easier to bring an authentic heritage feel to your home that suits your personal tastes.

The Differences Between Double and Triple Glazing

The main difference between double and triple glazing, besides the obvious, is the thermal efficiency standard that they each achieve. In short, a triple glazed window will keep the warmth in your home for a longer period of time. This is measured by something known as a 'U-Value', which is a measurement of thermal transmittance (the heat exiting your home). The lower the U-Value, the better the thermal efficiency. With this in mind, triple glazed windows have a lower U-Value than double glazed windows.
